You will be part of the Global Business Services (GBS) team that governs an End-to-End Financial Services portfolio and supports all of Honeywell Strategic Business Groups (SBG’s). As a Director Accounts Payable for our Americas region, you will be providing essential leadership and strategic management of the teams that support a wide array of Vendors and Internal Stakeholders that form the backbone of our critical supply chain fueling continuous innovation in the Building, Industrial and Process Automation, and Process Technologies business verticals. Your role is to serve as a reliable partner to Procurement, Logistics, Finance and Suppliers making sure Honeywell records liabilities accurately and processes payments timely adhering to the highest finance & accounting control standards.

Your role will follow our standard hybrid work schedule and will be based out of our Regional Finance Center in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. You will report directly to a Senior GBS Leader.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on transactional finance (accounts payable, Intercompany accounting, accounts receivable, disbursements)
  • Sound understanding of US GAAP and SOX Control framework
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.
  • Proven experience in process improvement and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools.

  • Lead and oversee the Financial Services team responsible for managing Accounts Payable activities for the Americas region such as but not limited to vendor accounts reconciliation, ad-hoc error resolution, Vendor support, aged payables reconciliation and recovery.
  • Drive achievement of key performance indicators’ goals and adherence to compliance standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders who are escalating issues related to payments or urgent help needed
  • Manage statutory payments per the legal requirements and make sure all internal controls are followed
  • Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are met with correct authorization and documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of systems and process
  • Proactively identify and implement automation opportunities
