You will report directly to our Director of Strategic Sourcing and you’ll work out of our India (or define locations) location on a Hybrid work schedule. This role is focused on Freight Analytics, supporting the Transportation and Logistics (T&L) sourcing, commercial decision making, and supplier performance management across global transportation networks. The position plays a critical role in enabling data driven RFQs, carrier strategy, and contract optimization, working closely with logistics leadership and commodity managers. While the broader logistics ecosystem is understood, the primary focus will be on Airfreight, Parcel and Trucking modes of transport. If you have working experience in Data Analytics, this role will give you the opportunity to take your skills to the next level building a strong data-driven foundation increasing visibility in support to a significant growth of our Aerospace business.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years of experience in Data analytics.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Technical discipline
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and experience working with large logistics or transportation data sets.
  • Understanding of RFQ processes, bid evaluation, and commercial analytics is highly desirable.

WE VALUE

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work end‑to‑end on complex datasets.
  • Experience with aerospace technologies, defense or controlled exports or similar industry;
  • Experience with transportation and logistics sector is a PLUS.
  • Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERPs) and procurement systems.
  • Experience with managing rate agreements;
  • Continuous improvement mindset (Six Sigma, A3, methodologies) and project or logistics certifications (PMP, APICS, CSCP, etc.);

  • Gather business requirements from our suppliers, manufacturing and end customer sites;
  • Structing business requirements on comprehensive T&L data sets;
  • Analyze trade lanes, carrier portfolios, service patterns, and cost drivers to support strategic decisions.
  • Translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations that improve cost, service, and resilience.
  • Partnering with (T&L) category leaders to process RFQs serving as a core analytics partner for RFQs, supporting:
  • Historical spend and shipment analysis
  • Lane‑level and carrier‑level bid evaluation
  • Total landed cost and service trade‑off modeling
  • Build comparison frameworks to evaluate carrier bids (reliability, transit time, surcharge exposure).
  • Support award recommendations and scenario analysis in close collaboration with commodity managers and sourcing teams.
  • Track post‑award performance versus RFQ assumptions and contractual commitments.
  • Support market research and benchmark transportation costs with BI tools;
  • Support suppliers evaluation and eventual negotiations;
  • Ensure alignment between analytics outputs, sourcing strategy, and enterprise logistics objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through structured analysis and outcome‑oriented insights
  • Use data analytics to support compliance with transportation regulations, trade requirements, and contractual obligations.
