Job Title: Senior IT Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Release Engineer to own and drive end‑to‑end release management for the Salesforce platform. This role is hands‑on and delivery‑focused, responsible for ensuring reliable, compliant, and predictable deployments across multiple Salesforce environments. You will work closely with developers, QA, and business stakeholders to enable high‑quality releases while continuously improving DevOps and automation practices.

As a Sr IT Engineer here at Honeywell, you will design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and innovative solutions that drive company success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Salesforce development, DevOps, or release management roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce deployment strategies, metadata API, and SFDX.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Opsera, Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, VS Code) and version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Knowledge of change sets unlocked packages, and ANT migration tool.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to manage production deployments under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I, DevOps Specialist, or Release Manager certs).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams using tools like Jira.
  • Prior exposure to SOX‑compliant environments and audit‑ready release processes.
  • Familiarity with data migration and integration tools (e.g., Data Loader, MuleSoft, Jitterbit).

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work model based in Bangalore.
  • Occasional off‑hours or weekend deployments as part of release cycles.
  • Fast‑paced environment requires strong prioritization and ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

Release Ownership & Execution

  • Own Salesforce release cycles across development, QA, UAT, and production environments, ensuring timely and stable deployments.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute releases while managing risks, dependencies, and rollback strategies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during deployments and production releases.

DevOps & Automation

  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Opsera, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Automate metadata and code deployments using SFDX CLI and modern deployment approaches.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve pipeline and deployment failures to minimize downtime.

Environment & Configuration Management

  • Manage sandbox strategy including refreshes, environment configuration, and data seeding.
  • Ensure consistency and traceability across environments through strong version control practices.

Governance & Collaboration

  • Ensure all releases comply with security, SOX, and internal governance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with development, QA, and project management teams to align release schedules and priorities.
  • Provide clear communication on release readiness, risks, and post‑deployment outcomes to stakeholders.
