As a Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician here at Honeywell, you will have the crucial role of leading a seamless operation and upkeep of our organization's physical facilities. Your role encompasses both maintenance and engineering expertise, ensuring that facilities remain well-maintained, safe, and energy-efficient while optimizing operational processes. Your strategic planning, technology utilization, and attention to detail will not only enhance the longevity of our facilities assets but also minimize operational costs and environmental impact.

In this role, you will impact our manufacturing equipment and/or building systems and components by providing technical support and expertise. Your deep understanding of operating principles and processes will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly impact the success of our business by ensuring that our facilities and equipment are operating at their best.

Work hours will be 5:30pm to 2:30pm, 8 hours a day. On-call rotation will equal one Saturday approximately every 6 weeks.

As a Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician here at Honeywell, you will lead the seamless operation and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained, safe, and energy-efficient while optimizing processes. You will report directly to our Facilities Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Must Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the maintenance field.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
    Experience with CNC Machinery operation, diagnostics and repair.
  • Must be physically capable of performing job duties, including:
    • Sitting, standing, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
    • Working at heights above 4 feet.
    • Operating in hot and cold environments.
    • Lifting up to 35 lbs.

We Value

  • Experience with Vacuum Furnaces.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, and LOTO/LTT regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, including technicians and custodial workers, to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure that facilities are well maintained, compliant with regulations, and operate at peak efficiency
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments to ensure that maintenance work meets established standards and that issues are promptly addressed
  • Collaborate with other departments, senior management, and stakeholders to understand their facility needs and communicate maintenance updates and plans
  • Oversee the execution of facilities planning, repairs, routine maintenance, and store functions within Honeywell
