Position Detail - Technician - ISC-Mfg – Functional Test
Qualification - ITI/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or relevant trade.
Experience required - 3 years and above


The Functional Test Technician is responsible for validating that finished products (typically electronic or electromechanical) perform according to their design specifications. You will set up test environments, execute complex functional test procedures, troubleshoot and maintain the health of the test fixtures themselves.

As a Technician here at Honeywell, you will maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring smooth production processes and adherence to safety and quality standards. Your expertise will optimize efficiency and product quality.

* Technical Background: An Diploma in Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent military/industrial experience.


* Schematic Literacy: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams.


* Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.


* Soldering Skills: Proficiency in rework and soldering for repairing test leads or replacing components.


* Computer Literacy: Comfortable working with Linux/Windows terminal commands, LabVIEW, or custom GUI-based test software.

Automobile, Aerospace, Automation, Pressure vessel, Piping , Oil and Gas, etc.


* Test Execution & Validation: Run functional test sequences using automated test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, multimeters, and specialized software to verify product performance.


* Diagnostic Troubleshooting: When a unit fails, perform component-level or board-level troubleshooting to determine if the fault lies in the product, the software, or the test fixture.


* Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and repair test fixtures, pogo-pin connectors, and wiring harnesses to ensure testing accuracy and prevent "false fails."


* Data Analysis: Interpret test logs and telemetry to identify patterns of failure, reporting "yield" trends to the engineering team.
