As an Advanced Chemical Engineer at Honeywell LNG, you will play a crucial role in the Honeywell LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Process Engineering team. This position will be reporting to our Senior Chemical Engineering Manager based in Allentown, Pennsylvania on a hybrid schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply engineering expertise to design and implement world-class natural gas liquefaction processes and equipment.
- Perform advanced process cycle simulations for natural gas liquefaction and related systems.
- Complete detailed thermal design of proprietary heat transfer equipment (coil wound heat exchanger) manufactured by Honeywell LNG.
- Conduct relief and depressuring scenario analyses for proprietary equipment using established tools and methodologies.
- Support plant operations through startup, performance testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including commercial, project management, mechanical design, manufacturing, machinery, R&D, and start-up—to ensure seamless project execution, and drive product development and improvement.
- Participate in P&ID reviews and HAZOPs at contractor offices to ensure safety, operability and design integrity.
- Oversee the portfolio of Process and Equipment Modeling Tools.
- Work on developing or improving these tools as guided by the process technology manager.
- 50% of day-to-day will consist of providing 1st level programming/debugging support for tools portfolio.
- Domestic and international travel to clients’ offices, contractors, and plant sites expected about 10-15 percent of the time.

The role also involves occasional domestic and international travel to client and plant sites.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of experience in chemical engineering.
- 3+ years of experience with process simulation software.
- 2+ years of experience in Object Oriented Technology like Visual Basic .NET
- Demonstrated expertise in chemical engineering principles and practices.
- Experience in process design and start-up on large capital projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
WE VALUE
- Advanced Engineering degrees such as MS, ME or PhD.
- 8+ years of experience in LNG liquefaction, cryogenic technology, or chemical manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of experience in Object Oriented Technology and Fortran programming
- 2+ years of experience in Fortran programming
- Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
