Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Analyst to manage and optimize our Content Delivery Network (CDN) capabilities using Akamai. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of web performance optimization. This role will own and manage the CDN feature of Akamai for the entire HON internet web landscape.

As a Sr IT Analyst here at Honeywell, you will lead high-impact IT projects, drive data-informed decisions, and enhance operational efficiency. Your expertise will shape our technology roadmap and maintain our competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus on CDN management and web performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Akamai's CDN services and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of web protocols (HTTP/HTTPS), DNS, and internet architecture.
  • Proven ability to analyze performance metrics and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Experience with web security practices, including encryption and DDoS mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in CDN management or related areas (e.g., Akamai Certified Professional).
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools and web analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, any web technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the configuration and performance of the Akamai CDN, ensuring optimal content delivery and user experience.
  • Monitor CDN performance metrics and analytics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, Development, and Marketing to align CDN strategies with business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to content delivery, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in CDN technology and web performance optimization.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to CDN configurations, procedures, and performance reports.
  • Implement security best practices to protect content and mitigate risks associated with data delivery.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams regarding CDN functionalities and use cases.
