The Test Engineer II – Pumps & Compressors provides daily engineering support to all disciplines involved in factory acceptance testing of Honeywell Sundyne centrifugal pumps and compressors, including Product Engineering, Project Management, and Operations. Factory acceptance testing will include performance testing to confirm aerodynamics/hydraulics and machine output, mechanical testing to verify machine stability, and NPSH verification testing.

This is an onsite role located in Arvada, CO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Definition of testing requirements for API centrifugal pumps and compressors based on machine conditions and customer requirements to support production testing
  • Review of test results and customer report generation
  • Troubleshooting of test deficiencies including, but not limited to: Concerns with vibration, bearings, mechanical seals, performance and NPSH
  • Provide key engineering support to test technicians
  • Interact with customers during all stages of testing, including test setup, reporting, and witness testing
  • Interact and coordinate testing with Project Management, Product Engineering, and Operations
  • Maintenance and upkeep of engineering equipment and technology on the Honeywell Sundyne pump and compressor test stands, both hardware and software
  • Continuously improving processes, procedures, and equipment design to reduce setup time and increase first pass yield

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2 or more years in an engineering and/or technical fluid handling position
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Experience with rotating equipment testing. Centrifugal pumps or compressors preferred
  • Experience or interest in operating and maintaining Labview and PLC software
  • Willing to work with the shop floor operations team as a “hands on” engineer
  • Communication skills and confidence in representing Honeywell Sundyne with customer interactions
  • Capable of supporting multiple testing configurations at a time

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge of API standards, specifically API 610, API 617, PTC 8 and PTC 10
  • Familiar with Hydraulic Institute and ISO standards, specifically HI 1.6 & 14.6 and ISO 9906
  • Strong personal organization and time management skills and be an excellent team player
  • Capable of quick decision making related to rotating equipment optimization

The salary range for this position is $83,200 - $104,100. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Relocation support may be provided if applicable.
