As a Sr IT Architect – SAP S/4 Business Process & Systems Architecture at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in blueprinting, designing, and building future‑state SAP S/4HANA solutions as part of major transformation initiatives. This role is focused on the design and implementation phase of SAP S/4 programs, translating business requirements into SAP system architecture, configuration approaches, data models, and integration patterns.
You will report directly to the IT Director and work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will influence the overall SAP S/4 solution and integration architecture, helping shape how core business processes are realized within SAP for the Honeywell Aerospace business unit.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Hands‑on experience supporting SAP S/4 blueprinting, design, and implementation activities, including translating business requirements into system designs.
- Experience supporting core SAP business processes across one or more functional areas.
- Experience with SAP integrations, including interactions with upstream and downstream systems.
- Experience gathering requirements, authoring functional and solution design documentation, and supporting testing activities.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Lead or support SAP S/4 blueprinting activities, defining future‑state business processes as they are designed and implemented within SAP.
- Translate business requirements and scenarios into SAP S/4 solution designs, including configuration strategy, data structures, and integration patterns.
- Support the design and build phases of SAP S/4 initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and SAP best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional business, functional, and technical teams to define system requirements, data flows, and integration approaches.
- Support SAP S/4 enhancements, defect resolution, and small‑to‑medium build initiatives during implementation phases.
- Clearly communicate system behavior, design decisions, constraints, and solution options to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Support test planning and execution, including SIT and UAT, to validate that design intent is correctly realized.
- Assist with deployment activities, cutover planning, and early post–go‑live stabilization to ensure successful transition to production.
- Help triage and resolve implementation and early‑life production issues related to newly built SAP capabilities.
- Analyze SAP transactions, master data, and end‑to‑end process flows to identify design gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Support data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of newly implemented functionality.
