As a Sr IT Project Specialist - SAP S/4 Record to Report here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing SAP S/4 HANA projects focused on the Record to Report process. Your expertise will drive the successful implementation and optimization of our financial systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing operational efficiency.
You will report directly to our IT Project Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the organization by ensuring that our SAP S/4 HANA solutions effectively support financial reporting and compliance, ultimately contributing to the overall success of Honeywell Aerospace.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Strong understanding of financial processes and reporting requirements within SAP S/4 HANA.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, ensuring effective project execution.
- Familiarity with SAP modules related to Record to Report, including Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO).

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, specifically with SAP S/4 HANA implementations.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in SAP project management or IT project management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in SAP technology and financial systems.

SAP S/4 R2R Project Delivery
- Lead and manage the end‑to‑end delivery of SAP S/4HANA R2R initiatives, including GL, journal processing, period‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and optimize financial processes.
- Provide subject matter expertise in SAP S/4 HANA, guiding best practices and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Finance & Business Partnership
- Act as the IT interface for Finance and Accounting stakeholders for R2R reporting needs.
- Translate financial reporting and close requirements into executable IT delivery plans.
- Support initiatives tied to segment reporting, management reporting, and regulatory/external reporting readiness
Data, Reporting & Controls
- Ensure alignment across downstream reporting tools.
- Drive resolution of data quality, reconciliation, and reporting issues impacting close and financial accuracy.
- Partner with Finance and Controls teams to support SOX‑relevant processes, controls, and audit readiness
Testing, Deployment & Stabilization
- Lead test strategy and execution (SIT, UAT) for R2R‑related changes.
- Oversee cutover planning, go‑live execution, and post‑go‑live stabilization.
- Ensure production issues impacting close and reporting are prioritized and resolved effectively
