As a Senior Engineering Manager for the Idea Incubator at Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) in Bangalore, this leader acts as the head of a "startup-within-a-company." They are responsible for transforming "big, fuzzy ideas" into concrete, high-fidelity prototypes and livable software that power the future of Honeywell Forge and global industrial IoT ecosystems.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading the software engineering management team, providing technical and strategic leadership for successful project delivery, driving the adoption of new technologies, and identifying opportunities for process improvement to ensure the development of high-quality software solutions.
YOU MUST HAVE
· Education: Graduate in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Masters in Math/Science/Computers.
· Experience: 13–16+ years in software engineering, with at least 3–5 years handling large, high-performing teams.
· Innovation Track Record: Proven experience moving projects from "napkin sketch" to business-case validation or launch.
· Technical Depth: Hands-on exposure to IoT, SaaS, and Scalable Cloud (Azure). Familiarity with Generative AI is highly preferred.
· Domain Expertise: Exposure to industrial segments like Buildings, Fire Systems, Control Systems (DCS), or Aerospace is a significant plus.
Preferred Experience
· Experience in innovation labs, incubators, advanced development teams, or startup environments.
· Exposure to Lean Startup, design thinking, or discovery-driven development approaches.
· Background working with emerging technologies, new platforms, or unproven domains.
· History of successfully transitioning incubated ideas into scaled product teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· 0-1 Strategy & Execution: He or she architects and executes the long-term vision for the innovation pipeline, moving concepts from "napkin sketches" through New Product Introduction (NPI) to final business-case validation.
· Technical Stewardship: This leader provides high-level architectural guidance for cloud-native (Azure) applications, SaaS platforms, and cutting-edge GenAI/ML integrations.
· Rapid Prototyping: They drive agile development cycles, prioritizing "pre-market fit" discovery and rapid iteration over long-term maintenance.
· Stakeholder Advocacy: Acting as a "strategic broker," they champion the incubator’s vision to global senior executives and secure the resources needed to scale breakthrough concepts.
· Team Leadership: The manager hires, mentors, and scales a diverse team of 10+ engineers and designers in Bangalore, fostering a culture of creative risk-taking and technical excellence
