Honeywell is seeking motivated candidates to join our Managed Services team in the role of Technical Project Engineer (TPE). The Managed Services group provides system optimization and technical advisement services for critical access and safety systems. We serve top Fortune 100 companies to provide trusted, innovative, and advanced proactive maintenance and diagnostic services focused on ensuring the OnGuard security system is running at peak performance.
You will be responsible for technical advisement, system design and evaluation, project management, and advanced system configurations to assist our OnGuard customer base. You will work directly with the Value-Added Reseller and End User, as well as members of various departments within the Managed Services team including but not limited to Technical Support, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Learning Solutions, and Advanced Services.
You will report to the Senior Field Service Manager and work a remote work schedule.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and strengthening cross-functional relationships with key internal customers including Technical Support, Engineering, Sales, and Product Management on behalf of the End User.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Subject matter expert for OnGuard related projects
- Hosting technical advisement calls and ownership of call agenda
- Troubleshooting OnGuard security system issues – OS, Database, Services, Network other
- Provide software and database expertise to customers and VAR project resources
- Provide cybersecurity system hardening recommendations
- Provide reporting on system support progress and set action items
- Provide system design and planning
- Develop and implement system maintenance strategies
- Evaluation, optimization, and development of access control business processes.
10% air or car travel is required to customer sites. You will receive a Honeywell travel and expense card.

YOU MUST HAVE
- 5 or more years’ experience in providing technical solutions directly to customers in the security/access solutions industry
- 5 or more years’ experience in technical project management
- Ability to manage issues to a successful resolution and provide project subject matter expertise
- Knowledge of OnGuard access control security software
- Proficiency in MSSQL and Oracle database administration
- Proficiency in Cloud based server and SQL infrastructure (Azure and AWS)
- Knowledge of with Milestone XProtect Corporate video security software and products

- Windows Server knowledge or certifications
- VMWare / Server Virtualization
- Network planning and design knowledge or certifications
- SQL / Oracle knowledge or certifications
- Cyber Security certifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $83,000 min - $104,000 mid. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $95,000 min - $120,000 mid. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
