As a Field Service Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide essential technical support and expertise to our customers in the Gas Detection & Life Safety business unit. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and contributing to customer satisfaction.

You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Northford CT location and travel to Honeywell customer sites.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and productivity of our customers' operations by delivering exceptional technical support and service at their facilities.

As a Field Service Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will provide technical support and expertise in Industrial Automation, troubleshoot issues, ensure solution implementation, and drive customer satisfaction. You will report directly to our Sr. Field Service Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Northford, CT location on a work schedule.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service engineering or a related technical role.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in electronics, pneumatics, etc.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Experience with relevant tools and technologies such as PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial control systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Military experience.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and technical support.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Passport, for possible international travel.
  • General knowledge of SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft Windows.

The annual base salary range for this position is $60,000-$80,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for our customers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain customer equipment at customer facilities, while also creating maintenance plans.
  • 75% overnight travel required.
  • Provide technical support and expertise for our gas detection solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of our solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and field service engineers.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and provide recommendations for improvement.
