We are seeking an experienced and proactive Test Engineer II to join our team during evening shift from 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. In this role, you will take ownership of key projects that enhance test capabilities, data integrity, and operational efficiency beyond routine tasks. You will be the go to expert for developing automated solutions and integrating new test technologies. This is a hands on role for an engineer who thrives in a dynamic, after hours environment and is eager to shape the future of our test processes.

Must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands on experience in a test engineering or automation role.
  • 3+ years of experience in at least two of the following: Python, C++, SQL, JavaScript, VBA.
  • Ability to work independently during evening hours with minimal supervision.

We value:

  • Experience working in evening or night shift environments, preferably in a manufacturing or test engineering setting.
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks for creating internal tools and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of PCB design and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD).
  • Self starter mentality, willing to take on unfamiliar tasks and adapt quickly in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience developing and releasing automated test applications or process improvement software.
  • Strong understanding of data acquisition (DAQ) systems, power supplies, and other standard test equipment.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

The annual base salary for this position starts at $73,600. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Responsibilities:

  • Lead evening shift test operations, ensuring smooth handoff and continuity in testing for Board Test or PCB systemlevel products.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain automated test applications using Python, C++, VBA, JavaScript, and scripting tools such as Ruby and Tcl.
  • Drive integration of ESR software and modernize data management and reporting systems.
  • Monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM) systems for test equipment, ensuring uptime and reliability.
  • Perform deep dive data analysis, including GR&R studies, to improve test repeatability and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to close Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and qualify new processes.
  • Create and qualify technical documentation per industry standards (TDS, VDDs, mechanical drawings).
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and shift leadership.
  • Oversee equipment validation and test program development on NPI or similar systems.
