Mech Design Engr I in the Technical function reports directly to the Sr Mech Eng Supervisor. Responsibilities include provides technical direction for the existing as well as new product development, design, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation. As a Mechanical Design Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions, ensuring high-quality, reliable products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.You will report directly to our [Title] and you’ll work out of our [City, State] location on a [Hybrid, On-site, Remote] work schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain PLM data using Teamcenter and Flow tools.
- Perform Creo Parametric part modelling (3D and 2D), including assemblies, family tables, and geometry checks.
- Create and update AutoCAD drawings for mechanical components and systems.
- Ensure data integrity during migration and change management processes.
- Execute design quality checks, including translation validation, reference integrity, and file completeness.
- Map CAD numbers with SAP material master numbers and maintain Engineering BOM structures.
- Support CAD data migration to GPLM and ensure successful integration with SAP systems.
- Change management: release and control all engineering change management, coordinating with all factories, Quality and Sourcing. Tracking all the changes till the implementations through ECR & ECO Process.
CAREER PATH CORE COMPETENCIES
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in Creo Parametric (preferably version 7) and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter, Windchill, and SAP integration workflows.
- Understanding of PDM integrity checks, including CAD numbering conventions and circular reference avoidance.
- Experience in change management, ECN workflows, and document classification.
- Ability to troubleshoot CAD data issues and perform corrective actions in Teamcenter.
