As an Engineering Support Specialist II here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to our engineering team, providing technical expertise and support to drive the success of our testing activities.
You will report directly to our Sr Systems Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Moca, Puerto Rico location. External hires will begin with 90 days onsite before transitioning to a hybrid 3/2 schedule. Internal hires will continue with a 3/2 hybrid schedule.
In this role, you will impact the success of our engineering support operations by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring that all necessary tests are conducted to validate product performance and reliability.
Be part of an engineering team that is defining the future of Honeywell Electronic Test products. You will work with an engineering team managing requisition data collection and processing and documenting operational and technical processes. You will coordinate material needs for electronic fabrication projects, assist in planning and scheduling, act as a liaison between engineering groups, sourcing and suppliers, and provide data reporting for both internal customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute material requirements within scope, budget, and schedule parameters
- Understand engineering drawings and use them as requirements for material requisitioning
- Create, monitor, and follow through delivery of material requirements for a variety of programs using all available systems such as SAP
- Create tools and work instructions focused on process improvements
- Work with the program team, sourcing, and suppliers in the resolution of material roadblocks
- Keep customers updated with progress and report key metrics
Travel, up to 10%, may be required.

As an Engineering Support Specialist II here at Honeywell, you will provide technical support, and improve support processes, ensuring project success and enhancing efficiency.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 2 plus years of experience with schematics, order placement or pricing catalogues
- 2 plus years of experience with MS Office tools (Excel, Access, Power Point, One Note and Word)
- Ability to read, write and speak English
WE VALUE:
- Bachelor’s degree in EE (Electrical Engineering) or ME (Mechanical Engineering)
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and documents
- Excellent communication skills
- SAP knowledge/ experience
- SQL, VBA knowledge
- Some Project Management experience or knowledge
- Some experience in engineering
