As a Sr Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide high-level technical support and service to our customers, ensuring the optimal performance of Honeywell products and systems. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, perform maintenance and repairs, and provide training and guidance to customers and junior technicians. The hours for this shift will be 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

As a Sr Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will provide high-level technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, perform maintenance, and train customers and junior technicians, driving customer satisfaction.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Strong knowledge of NFPA fire protection standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, and construction plans.
  • Proficiency with major fire alarm and suppression system brands (e.g., Notifier,
  • Siemens, Simplex, Fike, Ansul).
  • Ability to work independently and supervise others effectively.

  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • NICET Level I–IV (Fire Alarm Systems, Special Hazards, or Sprinkler Testing).

The annual base salary range for this position is $79,000-109,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Installation & Commissioning

  • Install fire alarm panels, notification appliances, detectors, and suppression system
  • components.
  • Program fire alarm control units and integrate them with other building systems.
  • Perform system commissioning, testing, and final acceptance walkthroughs.

2. Inspection & Testing

  • Conduct inspections in accordance with NFPA codes (e.g., NFPA 72, NFPA 25, NFPA
  • 2001).
  • Test alarm and suppression systems, including smoke detectors, pull stations,
  • sprinklers, pumps, and clean agent systems.
  • Document findings and provide detailed inspection reports.

3. Troubleshooting & Repairs

  • Diagnose faults in fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems.
  • Repair or replace defective components.
  • Respond to urgent service calls and resolve system impairments.

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all work complies with local codes, AHJ requirements, and company
  • standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection forms, and deficiency reports.
  • Communicate system issues and compliance status to building owners and facility managers.
