As a System Administrator supporting DoD programs at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our IT infrastructure in high-security environments. You will be responsible for configuring, managing, and maintaining secure systems, networks, and workstations in compliance with JSIG and NIST SP 800-53 standards, while providing technical support and guidance to program personnel. This is a hands-on, mission-critical position that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safeguarding classified information. You will work closely with Information System Security Managers (ISSM), Information System Security Officers (ISSO), and Contract Program Security Officers (CPSO) to maintain operational integrity and support secure program operations.
You will report directly to the Cyber Security Manager and will work out of our Clearwater, FL location on an onsite work schedule.

As a Systems & Security Administrator here at Honeywell, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions, fortify defenses, and act as the subject matter expert for technical challenges. You will report directly to the Cyber Security Manager and will work out of our Clearwater, FL location on an onsite work schedule.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Security Clearance: Secret
- At least 4 years of Windows system administration experience
- Familiarity with Domain architecture, including Active Directory, DNS, Domain Trust, and file share management
- Proficiency in configuring and managing secure Cisco network devices
- Experience with administration of security tools (e.g., Nessus, STIGs, Splunk, SCC) and system hardening.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing secure Windows environments.
- Certifications: DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 minimum compliant certification
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., for hardware setup) and sit/stand for extended periods.

- Prior work with JSIG and NIST SP 800-53 standards or in a defense contracting environment.

- Familiarity with virtualization (e.g., VMware)
- Comfortable working in a high-security environment with strict access controls and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
- System Setup and Configuration:
- Design, deploy, and configure secure IT systems, networks, workstations and Cloud enclaves in accordance with JSIG and NIST SP 800-53 requirements.
- Establish and maintain baseline configurations for hardware, software, and network components.
- Implement and validate Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls and system hardening measures.
- End-User Support:
- Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 technical support to program personnel, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring compliance with JSIG security policies.
- Create and deliver training or documentation to enhance end-user efficiency and security awareness.
- Security Collaboration:
- Partner with the ISSM and ISSOs to integrate security into the RMF processes, supporting Authorization to Operate (ATO) efforts.
- Report and respond to security incidents or anomalies in coordination with the security team.
- Operations and Maintenance:
- Perform routine system maintenance, including patch management, updates, and secure backups, per JSIG and NIST SP 800-53 guidelines.
- Monitor system performance and security logs, proactively addressing issues to maintain operational integrity.
- Compliance and Security:
- Ensure all activities adhere to JSIG, NIST SP 800-53 and DoD-specific directives.
- Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified and sensitive data.
- Respond to evolving security requirements and support incident mitigation as needed. Maintain information systems compliance.
