The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes for electronic products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves coordinating with design, quality, and production teams to optimize production workflows, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in electronics manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead technical projects.

As a Sr Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will drive operational excellence, and implement efficient processes. You will report directly to our Sr Process Eng Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Cd Juarez, CHI location on an On-site work schedule.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in Electronics, Automotive industries or related fields such as Manufacturing, Process or Product Engineer.
- Project Management or NPI expertise.
- Production lines transfer experience.
- Knowledge of PCB assembly, surface-mount technology (SMT), through-hole assembly.
- Knowledge of Testing and Diagnostics tools
- Design and validation of assembly fixtures.
- Expertise with Manufacturing Tools, Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Proficiency with manufacturing software such as ERP systems (SAP preferred), CAPA, and CAD tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate across multiple departments.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality certifications relevant to electronics manufacturing.

- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies, component mounting, soldering, testing, and packaging.
- Collaborate with design and R&D teams during product development or transfer to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Establish and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and control plans to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for production issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), including process validation, pilot runs, and scale-up activities.
- Execution, evaluation and certification of Processes and Sample Runs
- Supplier & multidisciplinary team coordination
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality policies, including ISO, IPC, and other relevant standards.
- Mentor and train manufacturing staff to develop their technical skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collect, analyze, and report manufacturing metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
