As an Advanced Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and compliance of embedded software, connected devices, and intelligent building control systems. Your work will directly influence the quality of products deployed in mission critical environments across global industries. You will develop advanced test strategies, contribute to automation frameworks, and collaborate with cross disciplinary engineering teams to validate highly integrated hardware/software solutions.
YOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 4 plus years of experience applying verification and validation (V&V) methodologies, including designing and executing test plans for complex software/hardware systems.
• 4 plus years of experience with test automation tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python), and testing of embedded, IoT, or hardware/software integrated products.
WE VAULE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, LabVIEW, or similar).
• Knowledge of industry standards such as UL, IEC, ISO, or regulatory compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Modbus, BACnet, I2C, SPI, TCP/IP).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system behaviors.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced engineering environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning, engineering excellence, and innovation.
• Experience testing embedded firmware, electronics, connected devices, or building automation technologies is a plus.

The annual base salary range for this position is $121,000 - $151,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, performance, and system level testing.
• Validate complex embedded systems, IoT devices, building control platforms, and integrated hardware/software products.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve system reliability and performance.
• Develop and enhance automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools to increase test coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with software, hardware, systems, and quality engineering teams to drive product readiness and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Document test procedures, results, and technical findings for internal stakeholders and regulatory needs.
• Mentor and support junior team members in test methodology, automation, and debugging practices.
