The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Senior SRE) ensures Honeywell’s production systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. This role focuses on hands‑on engineering, automation, and incident response, while contributing to the evolution of cloud‑native and AI‑enabled platforms. The Senior SRE will collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed observability, testing, and automation into daily workflows, while continuously improving system performance and developer productivity.

As a Software Engr II here at Honeywell, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely project completion. Impact innovative solutions driving efficiency and productivity. You will report directly to our Manager and you’ll work out of our Bangalore, Karnataka location on a Hybrid work schedule.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 3-6 years in software engineering, operations, or SRE roles. Hands‑on experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services (Azure preferred).
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Programming skills in Python or Go
- Exposure to MLOps practices and AI/ML workloads is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Problem‑solver with strong analytical skills. Effective communicator and collaborator. Ownership mindset with enthusiasm for automation and reliability.
- System Reliability: Implement and monitor SLIs/SLOs, ensuring uptime and performance targets are met.
- Automation & Deployment: Develop automation scripts and pipelines for CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring.
- Cloud Operations: Manage and optimize workloads across Azure and GCP.
- Observability & Monitoring: Enhance logging, metrics, and tracing to support proactive detection and resolution of issues.
- Incident Response: Participate in on‑call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, and conduct postmortems.
- AI/ML Support: Assist in operationalizing ML models, ensuring reliability of AI‑driven services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to embed reliability practices early in the lifecycle.
