As an Advanced Systems Engineer within Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, integration, and validation of next‑generation avionics systems. You will work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, safe, and high‑performance solutions that advance the future of flight.
YOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 5 plus years of engineering experience in systems, avionics, aerospace, defense, or a related technical field, including hands on work with system requirements, integration, validation, and/or verification, using tools such as DOORS, Jama, or equivalent.
• Experience with model based systems engineering (MBSE) methods or tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo, Rhapsody).
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENT:
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylum or refugee status in the U.S, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
WE VALUE:
• Experience developing or integrating avionics systems or flight‑critical systems.
• Knowledge of ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO‑178C, DO‑254, DO‑160, or other aerospace certification standards.
• Experience with system architecture definition, trade studies, and interface control documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile development methods (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or other modeling and simulation tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in complex engineering programs.

• Develop, analyze, and implement avionics system solutions that meet performance, safety, and certification requirements.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, systems, and test engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Author, maintain, and manage high‑level system requirements using IBM DOORS.
• Perform system‑level analysis, modeling, and trade studies to optimize performance and architecture.
• Execute systems integration, validation, and verification activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Apply model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
• Capture, decompose, and manage system requirements in alignment with stakeholder needs.
