KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role requires a qualified individual with relevant experience to contribute to the following:

  • Analyze requirements and decompose
    • Perform trade studies and identify preferred change management tools
    • Implement changes and tracking tool
    • Execute requirement changes with attention to details and commitment to quality and schedules
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate APU systems with other systems and components
    • Ensure technical performance measures are achieved throughout the project lifecycle
    • Meet project-specific process requirements and maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines
    • Oversee requirements management, scope control, and baseline change management
    • Communicate project health and status effectively to stakeholders
    • Support the Engineering Project Team Management Operating System (MOS)

As a System Engineer II you will play an important role in supporting system development. This role will be responsible for the creation, development and execution of the change management process for auxiliary power units in aerospace. You will collaborate with functional teams to ensure the APU systems meet requirements, performance OR and industry standards. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement for a flexible balance between in-office and remote work after an initial 90-day period.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar Engineering disciplines
    • Applicant must be a US Citizen or lawful US permanent resident
    • One or two years of systems engineering experience
    • Relevant experience in project and requirements management
    • FAA Regulations and industry standards knowledge
    • Knowledge of the systems development of lifecycle
    • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively
    • Analyze quickly, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
    • Self-motivated, able to work with little supervision and take the initiative to get things done
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and program needs
    • Knowledge of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and related systems preferred
