Sr Statutory Reporting Analyst

We have an opportunity for a Sr Statutory Reporting Analyst to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest, where you will assist with ownership of the financial accounting & compliance for all allocated legal entities registered in the Country. The role involves assisting with end-to-end responsibility and oversight over US GAAP and IFRS statutory reporting and ensures an environment of strong internal controls. The role closely collaborates with the Regional and Global Finance Centers through management of staff and/or outsourced service providers.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.
Key responsibilities
Statutory Accounting:
- Produce and own the statutory reporting pack for allocated entities ensuring accuracy and that they meet the required accounting reporting standards
- Produce Financial Statements ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Produce and present trial balances / balance sheet accounts
- Liaise with the relevant Country Controller, Country Finance Manager and Commercial Finance team to ensure overall revenue recognition compliance
- Assist with internal/external audit for all allocated Legal Entities
- Produce complex, judgmental journals; define calculation method for recurring, non-judgmental journals
- Provide compliant accounting treatments for government grants, transfer pricing, and other technical accounting advice
- Provide additional information for various regulatory reports
- Provide additional information for Corporate Income Tax returns
- Provide additional information for consolidated tax packs.
- Provide additional information for VAT reports and WHT submissions
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Support expansion of the multi-ledger model - explore interim testing and support additional rollouts
Controls and Compliance:
- Maintain strong compliance mindset, focusing on regulatory controls throughout the team
- Create continuous control oversight, risk ledger review and provide feedback on reconciliation and audit findings to central controllership
- Attend and participate in Balance sheet review meetings
Wider Controllership Responsibilities:
- Support M&A, spin activities in the region
- Support Legal Entities Simplification (LES) effort once there is an agreed timeline
- Sensibly managing department and company costs
- Ensure successful deployment of transition /transformation projects in the region
Key skills and qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting
- Recognized accounting qualification or Masters in Accounting preferred (but not essential)
- Experience of being involved in an annual audit (either as an auditor or within an audited entity)
- Exposure to US GAAP and IFRS
