As an Advanced Field Service Engineer - Turbomachinery Controls at Honeywell, in the UK, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and consultancy at customer sites to commission, troubleshoot, engineer, operate, configure and optimize products and systems supporting customers with advice on specific and appropriate product usage.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within service engineering ideally within industrial automation and turbomachinery
  • Knowledge of turbomachinery controls systems (Compressors, Steam / Gas Turbines, Expanders, Generators) along with process controls knowledge
  • A Degree within Engineering (mechanical, electrical, turbomachinery) or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel to customer sites internationally

  • Perform Pre-commissioning activities including system checkout, instrumentation calibration, loop checks, and communication testing
  • Test and perform tuning including machinery testing, control loop tuning and troubleshooting within the larger customer process.
  • Apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations to effectively complete specific projects and tasks along with thermodynamic calculations and analysis of machine performance.
  • Provide remote technical support, systems engineering support and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with departments cross functionally to support the entire Lifecycle of our products and customer experience
