As a Procurement Buyer at Honeywell, you will play a key role in driving our organization's procurement and purchasing activities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 4 or more years’ of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of buying strategies, supplier relations, and cost control.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the purchasing process, from identifying procurement needs to supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management, ensuring purchases are made efficiently and in accordance with guidelines
  • Participate in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms
  • Monitor and control purchasing costs, seek cost saving opportunities, negotiate favorable terms, and optimize resource allocation
  • Foster relationships with suppliers, address concerns, resolve issues, and collaborate on improvements
  • Ensure purchasing activities adhere to regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies
  • Contribute to quality control standards, conduct inspections, and performance assessments
  • Support procurement budget management, allocate resources efficiently, and seek cost effective solutions
  • Implement sourcing strategies, identify opportunities for supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation
  • Leverage technology solutions to enhance purchasing processes, monitoring, and reporting
