As a Sr Eng Tech here at Honeywell, you will support engineering projects, provide technical expertise, troubleshoot, and ensure smooth operations. Your contributions will drive innovation and maintain product quality. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Mexiali, BC location on a onsite work schedule. This position is responsible for supporting testing processes at the laboratory located in the Mexicali Research and Technology Center (MRTC).

MUST HAVE
- High School, technical diploma, finished or unfinished bachelor.
- At least 1 year of materials testing or chemical laboratory related experience.
- Working knowledge of materials testing following established procedures.
- Able to work on flexible/rotating shifts (day or swing shift, includes saturdays)
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiar with Laboratory Information Management Systems.
- Highly Customer oriented
- Hands-on experience calibrating, maintaining and operating laboratory equipment such as pH meters, conductimeters, microscopes
- Creates and uses documents with standard PC applications such as Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Supporting analysis of incoming samples in the Mexicali Aerospace campus.
- Plans and organizes approach to complete non-typical or nonroutine work. Set up standard and nonstandard tests and troubleshoot instrumentation with minimal guidance.
- Requires considerable knowledge and experience of theory, principles, and procedures in the laboratory and accepts full responsibility for getting results.
- Analyzes, document, and troubleshoots problems that sometimes require resolution at a higher level
- Performs a variety of duties with latitude for making modifications and adjustments as necessary. Support a high mix of test processes, including, but not limited to: chemical analysis, corrossion, metallography, Hardness.
- Testing support will involve the following:
- Preparation of materials and standards.
- Prepares reports, analyzes data, identifies discrepancies and communicates results
- Drive compliance to relevant test spec requirements.
- Ownership of assigned lab services, work instructions/test procedures.
- Maintains control of test equipment, inventories, standards, shelf-life controlled reagents, etc., and plans ahead to assure their availability when needed.
