As a Sr Advanced Systems Engr here at Honeywell, you will lead a team of systems engineers in designing, developing, and delivering advanced systems. You will shape technological advancements and manage project portfolios. You will report directly to our Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- At least 7 years of experience in embedded systems development, preferably in aerospace or defense.
- Design and implement secure sandbox environments in Embedded Linux.
- Work with avionics protocols and standards such as ARINC 429, ARINC 615A, ARINC 615-3, GDL90 and GDL52.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define technical requirements and system architecture for avionics and connectivity solutions.
- Develop embedded Linux APPs for data comm/processing, avionics hardware communication, and system integration using Python.
- Implement secure communication protocols, including TLS/SSL certificates, CA chains, HTTPS handshake, and network protocols like TCP/UDP.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace safety and security standards, including DO-178C and DO-326A/356A.
- Integrate solutions into CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and manage APIs.
- Perform rigorous testing for performance, security, and reliability to meet avionics certification requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, systems, and cybersecurity, to deliver mission-critical solutions.
- Provide technical support, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
