Senior Advanced Systems Engineer - Railway System Integration

As a Railway System Integration Manager/Senior Advanced Systems Engineer, you will lead the design, planning, execution, and deployment of telecom & ICT systems tailored to the needs of railway infrastructure. You will guide a team of engineers and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver reliable telecom solutions that comply with the industry standards and meet the project requirements. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred
- PMI Certification (Desired)
- Certified in one or some of CCNA, CCNP, CCIE routing and switching or Datacenter.
- Certified in one or some of MCSA, MCSE infra, WiFi and Redhat.
- Certified in one or some of VMS, ACS, FAS and BMS systems.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Railway experience is a must.
- In-depth knowledge of railway signaling principles, communication protocols and design principles
- Proven experience in delivering complex telecom projects on time and within budget.
- Advanced knowledge in CCTV, Access Control, Video Management, Public Address, Fire Alarm, Master Clock, and Building Management systems’ design and implementation.
- Advanced knowledge in ICT, WiFi, multiservice network, firewalls and cybersecurity systems design and implementation.
- Extensive experience in PIDS, OATS and VRS
- Experience in automation systems and PLC.

Prinicple Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership and guidance
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team of engineers designing, executing, and deploying the telecom systems for railway projects.
- Define engineering standards and best practices to ensure delivery of high-quality and optimized solutions.
- Stay updated on technological advances, industry trends, and regulatory requirements relevant to railway telecommunication systems
Project Planning, Coordination, and Execution
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution ensuring alignment with project timelines, goals, and budget.
- Collaborate with planners, project manager, and cross functional team to identify project scope, resources, deliverables, and milestones.
- Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and take necessary corrective actions to mitigate risks and issues
Telecom Systems Design, Architecture, and Integration
- Lead the design and architecture of the of telecom systems for railway, including Multiservice Network, CCTV, Access Control, Passenger Information System, etc…
- Collaborate with the design team to translate project requirements to technical specifications, design documents, and shop drawings.
- Identify integration requirements between various systems and work with 3rd parties to define and document these integration requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, RAMS requirements, safety regulations and quality assurance protocols.
- Ensure value engineering is implemented in the design stage and achieving an optimized design
Team Collaboration and Development
- Mentor a team of engineers fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
- Assign tasks and performance objectives, evaluate outcomes, provide feedback, and coaching to enhance the team skills and capabilities.
- Transfer knowledge in railway specific requirements, design principles, and best practices to the team
Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management
- Serve as technical single point of contact for the project stakeholders including customer, consultant, end user, and internal functions.
- Report project status, issues, risks and resolutions, with emphasis on transparency, accuracy and comprehensiveness.
- Build a strong relationship with customer, consultant, and end user, addressing their concerns, clarifying the proposed solutions, demonstrating compliance with project requirements and industry standards
