Responsible for strategic sourcing of goods, materials and services to meet company operational needs, considering price, quality, productivity and delivery on time to ensure continuity of supply. This role holds responsibility for a group of several manufacturing sites, R&D facilities and/or distribution centers and should function as the main point of contact for everything indirect related while also educating internal stakeholders on procurement policies. A strategic sourcing buyer negotiates midsize value contracts, complex requirements and coordinates meetings with internal clients to meet objectives while achieving maximum overall cost effectiveness and productivity savings.

As a Sr Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for managing and executing the organization's procurement and purchasing activities at a strategic level. This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will report directly to our Procurement Manager and you’ll work out of our Monterrey, location on a Hybrid work schedule.

MUST HAVE/CORE COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3 – 5 years of experience in operational or tactical purchasing for indirect/direct material.
• Good technical knowledge of Procurement/Sourcing
• Fluent English
• Analytical skills (For site spend analysis)
• ERP knowledge (SAP preferably)
• Highly proactive
