We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer I. The selected candidate will perform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex/advanced Honeywell control systems (EXPERION PKS, TPS/TDC3000). Your time will be spent validating customer requests, developing/maintaining/improving customer relationships, upgrades/migration planning and execution, all while ensuring Right and Fast Delivery.

As a Field Service Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will provide technical support and expertise in Industrial Automation, troubleshoot issues, ensure solution implementation, and drive customer satisfaction.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 4 years of professional experience in a related field (field service, technical operations, industrial maintenance, process automation, heavy manufacturing, prior military experience, development and/or reliability engineering)
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of time in VA, TN, NC or SC - up to 2 weeks away from home at once
  • Ability to obtain multiple L3 certifications within 18 months

  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math or
  • Experience with control systems
  • Experience with Industrial IT
  • Software configuration, migration experience, project engineering experience, virtualization, Cyber process control, electrical, or other application experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Self-reliance and the ability to learn independently

Key Responsibilities

  • Periodic communication with customers regarding technical and administrative issues
  • Provide customer support on Honeywell Control Systems and serve as a customer contact for service-related issues / enquiries
  • Configure, maintain, and solve Honeywell hardware / software issues including: Experion PKS, other DCS hardware / software such as LCN & TPS
  • Upgrade Experion software from one software release to another software release on live control system without causing any interruption to customer’s industrial process
  • Migrate Legacy Honeywell control systems to Honeywell’s new technology offering
  • Understand customer key processes and economic drivers to translate those into business opportunities while providing timely research and recommendations
  • Assist Sales during sales pursuits and be the face of Honeywell to end-users
  • Learn the end-to-end product / solution development and delivery / execution of Honeywell products and solutions
  • Use technical expertise of sophisticated Honeywell solutions / product offerings to improve customer experience
