Join Honeywell’s Space team in Czech Republic as a Senior Advanced Software Engineer for Space Systems. You will design and implement software architecture for advanced space technologies, including optical intersatellite communication and Quantum Key Distribution systems. This role involves leading implementation activities, developing innovative concepts for future space products, and collaborating with major customers such as the European Space Agency and commercial space organizations. Responsibilities include translating mission requirements into product specifications, conducting trade studies, and contributing to research proposals. Exciting projects in space and aerospace are already underway—be part of shaping the future of secure space communications.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

We’re looking for a visionary engineer to join Honeywell’s Space team in the Czech Republic, where innovation meets orbit.
- Experience with embedded software development in C, C++, and Matlab
- Experience with and design of automated tests
- Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
- Knowledge of software development processes and best practices
- Knowledge of software configuration management tools (e.g. ClearCase, SVN, Git)

- Develop and troubleshoot embedded software in C/C++ and perform modeling in MATLAB.
- Define and update requirements, architecture, and documentation for software systems.
- Integrate and test software with hardware devices (e.g., gimbals), including creating/modifying test cases and scripts.
- Set up development and test environments and support system integration and qualification activities.
- Ensure timely completion of technical tasks while identifying opportunities for technological improvements.
