We have an opportunity for a Cost Management Specialist to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest, where you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the end-to-end purchase order (PO) process for Honeywell Marketing, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role coordinates with internal stakeholders, finance, and procurement to facilitate vendor set-up, PO creation, processing, record keeping, and closure. The Specialist also manages the pass-through process with primary media vendors, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for stakeholders. In addition, this role analyzes purchasing data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings, always maintaining a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the complete purchase order lifecycle: receive required documentation, initiate PO with finance, process and track PO, maintain records, and close PO upon completion.
  • Ensure all PO activities comply with company policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with procurement for vendor set-up and onboarding, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and processed.
  • Oversee the pass-through process with primary media vendors, facilitating timely and accurate transactions for stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage goods receipts, accruals, and PO closure in collaboration with finance.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records for all PO and vendor activities.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Proactively monitor for data quality issues, investigate inconsistencies, and work with relevant teams to resolve and prevent errors.
  • Support process improvements and standardization efforts within cost management.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in purchase order management, procurement, or vendor coordination.
  • Strong understanding of PO processes, compliance, and record keeping.
  • Experience working with finance and procurement teams.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
