The Building Management Systems Leader role at Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) will lead the BMS technology teams (close to 200 team members). Driving and delivering Organic Growth for the Building Management systems will be the key performance indicator including co-owning Roadmaps, Execution and Commercialization of Technology in synch with global BA Technology organization and BMS CTO.
The role will be responsible and accountable for delivering Global and regional NPIs (end-to-end product development and NPI ownership) for Building Management Systems GBE. It involves conceptualizing, technical design, engineering and development of NPIs, including enabling commercialization of the products working closely with the business teams.
The BMS HTS Technology Leader is solely responsible for driving innovation, solutions, offering & localization strategies to support the organic growth for the India market and middle east markets. The role also needs to drive innovation that transforms existing and new products offerings to a software and services growth sector which will drive incremental revenue and growth for the company.
We are looking for a strong technology leader with good experience with multi-disciplinary skills ranging from FW, embedded edge , AI and cloud with appreciation for automation controls and sensing technologies, control.. Understanding market trends on Technology & competition to drive Innovation, delivery, and to provide leadership and direction to a diverse group of professional engineers working with global Product Marketing & Offering teams.
This role will also be responsible in working closely with the Honeywell Connected Enterprise (HCE) platforms to jointly evolve technology, software strategy & platforms to develop winning strategy.
This role will have report into the Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) BA India Leader and a matrix reporting to the Building management Systems CTO.

Education / Job Requirements:
- Engineering degree with 18+ years of experience with strong background in FW and Software Development in Enterprise Product, Development of Embedded Edge platforms, AIoT, Cloud Technologies, Data science Engineering and Advance Analytics using AI/ML.
- Added advantage to have experience on controls/automation/sensing technologies, both on the commercial or the product development side.
- Experience working with customers directly and interacting with business/commercial teams on a regular basis
- Ability to deal with Organizational changes and keep the teams motivated to deliver, lead change management to transition the teams seamlessly through changes.
- Proven track record of managing cross site teams
- Strong program management, process management, technology & strategy management skills experienced technical manager of development engineering.
- Excellent executive communication and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts
- Ability to work in highly matrix environment and manage constant change and evolution
- Keen and aware of the business and technological opportunities and challenges
Strong innovation mindset: Market focused mindset and ability to anticipate changes in customer's needs, with focus on India market and products that would cater to that TAM.
Technology and Business leadership
- Leader for the technology teams that align to the Building Management Systems organization in HTS and accountable for deliverables on Global programs/HGR and India programs.
- Drive the execution of product development and ensure on time delivery, cost and quality specs.
- Work with Offering, Marketing, Commercial teams to develop a robust program/project/product pipeline and roadmap. Work closely with India & Middle East business team to drive products and solution for regional business growth
- Work with offering teams to do competitor benchmarking to determine baseline of competitor product features and areas of differentiation/advantage.
- Leading continuous improvement efforts through the institutionalization of Agile and other practices like Honeywell Operating System (HOS), Z21 (Zero to 1st revenue) and driving process maturity (ex: CMMi Level 5).
- Continuously challenge status quo to adopt Gen AI and similar technologies into delivery, deriving productivity and modernization of technology offerings – also driving AI in Products which will deliver incremental growth and revenue.
Strategy & Innovation
- Support and develop strategic priorities (STRAP) for HTS/BMS and thereon for (Building Automation) in alignment with global teams. Plan and execute Annual Operating Plan (AOP) aligned with business goals.
- Responsible for formulating strategies for growth, innovation, execution & talent
- Establishing benchmarks on cycle time performance & demonstrating year on year improvements in productivity through reuse, automation, simulation, modelling, etc.
- Influence Product roadmaps for the global and regional markets. Work closely with regional, India and global product marketing leaders for idea conceptualization and innovation to drive regional market growth.
Talent Management and Development
- Drive Honeywell & Honeywell Technology Solutions Values & Behaviors and culture across the team.
- Responsible for Honeywell Performance Development (HPD), Global Compensation Planning (GCP), Management Resource Reviews (MRR), Technical Resource Reviews (TRR) and rewards and recognition for the HTS/HPS & SETS Technology Team.
- Mentor / coach / guide experienced leaders reporting into this role.
- Driving effective people practices through effective hiring strategy, rewarding, motivating & retention strategy and talent differentiation for high performance.
- Responsible for developing people and competencies that are required for future growth with specific emphasis on building top talent for key leadership positions and tracking succession depth for all key positions.
