As a Sr. Program Specialist-Contract Specialist in our College Park, Maryland office, you will play a critical role in managing, reviewing, and administering contracts to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and drive organizational success. You will support the full contract lifecycle from initial review and negotiation through execution and closeout while ensuring alignment with company policies and customer requirements.

You will report directly to the Sr. Program Supervisor and work onsite to collaborate closely with program teams, legal counsel, and customers. In this role, you will have a direct impact on ensuring contractual integrity, resolving issues, and supporting successful program delivery.

As a Sr Program Specialist here at Honeywell, you will drive FAR15 proposals and subcontracts, perform price analyses, execute subcontracts, and collaborate across functions. Ensure compliant FAR15 packages, strategic agreements, and cost savings. You will report directly to our Sr. Program Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our College Park, MD location on an On-sitework schedule.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration, contract management, or procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, negotiation strategies, and risk management principles.
  • Proven experience in reviewing, analyzing, and drafting contractual documents.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve contract-related issues and drive results under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management systems.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience supporting government or commercial contracts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an onsite environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience developing and presenting contract-related materials to customers or senior management.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, procurement policies, and administrative processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, draft, and interpret complex contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Recommend amendments or revisions to optimize terms, reduce risk, and align with business objectives.
  • Gather and analyze data from internal teams to support contract negotiations, renewals, and audits.
  • Provide expert guidance to program and management teams regarding contractual obligations, risks, and compliance matters.
  • Monitor contract performance, track deliverables, and identify and resolve issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver contract summaries, reports, and presentations to customers and leadership.
  • Participate in and defend contract positions during negotiations, audits, or disputes.
  • Ensure contract administration aligns with program management, financial, and operational goals.
  • Support process improvements to streamline contract workflows and enhance efficiency.
