IA PSS Japan Sales Leader (Sr. Manager) is responsible for leading, managing and directing PSS sales/commercial excellence across Japan, including channel management and seller deployment related activities in the country ensuring that the priorities and focus areas are matched to the short, medium and long term needs of the business, and that the organization is able to achieve its strategic growth objectives.

  • 10+ years experience in Sales & Management in Industrial market managing complex and diverse portfolio.
  • Proven success in leading strategic planning, growth initiatives, and business operations.
  • Prior experience and strong execution of strategic growth plan and operation, leading at regional level of diverse, distributed teams.
  • Agile mindset, driving change & business – Understanding Business trends & generating successful solutions to overcome change.
  • Strong ability to influence peer group, ability to forge solid relationships and manage across a broad and geographically dispersed business and teams.
  • Provide inspiring leadership and vision to the team which lead the team to thrive for desired growth.
  • Recruit and lead high performance team with strong employee engagement and well establish career development and succession plan.

  • Define and execute growth strategy for PSS business in Japan by driving topline growth and gain in share of demand.
  • Analyse long-term market trends, customer needs, and evaluate competitive landscape to develop a business/sales strategy that ensures long-term success.
  • Defined strategies and initiatives to attain growth in new and existing markets.
  • Develop PSS Product Portfolio strategy by leveraging global offerings and local innovations.
  • Lead the Annual STRAP and AOP planning for Japan to ensure profitable growth and risk mitigation.
  • Establishes and owns the plans and strategies for IA/PSS product channels aimed at serving and expanding the customer base in the region.
  • Work collaboratively across IA businesses in the region to advance the One HON culture, ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of all sales and commercial excellence activities in Japan.
  • Establishing and owning the plans and strategies aimed at serving and expanding the customer base and Go-to-Market strategies for the region.
  • Build high performance sales team, drive sales plans & SFDC discipline, drive Sales behaviours in country.
  • Develop strategy for pursuits, improve win rate; ownership of large deals and POC contracts in Japan.
  • Define Japan sales strategy including key account management / channel development / optimization.
  • Develop channel plans to ensure optimal coverage and growth with critical channel partners.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers/channel partners to drive strategic partnership and understanding of their needs, instilling a sense of commitment to them.
  • Deploy 80/20 methodologies to manage large and fragmented customer base.
  • Drive commercial excellence execution in entire sales organization, improve sales team capabilities with clearly defined targets and plans.
  • Leadership and mentoring throughout the organization including cultivating business development, entrepreneurial, customer centric and performance driven mindset.
  • Accurate forecast of revenue and growth opportunities.
  • Executive sponsorship for select customers.
  • Monthly business reviews of delivery metrics.
