Are you looking to join a great team and make a difference? We are looking for a proactive Fire Alarm Service Technician in Fort McMurray. The role focuses on completing annual Fire Alarm inspections, testing graphical user interfaces, and leading continuous improvement initiatives in the field.

The successful candidate will have the option to live in Fort McMurray or fly-in/fly-out from either Calgary or Edmonton on a rotational schedule (i.e., 12 hours per day - 14 days ON / 14 days OFF - OR - 7 days ON / 7 days OFF).

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2+ years of fire alarm service Technician experience.
  • CFAA Certification (or willing to obtain it FastTrack)
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Excellent communication skills to deal with co-workers and customers.
  • Team oriented with demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and self-directed when required.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete fire alarm system inspections, as per codes.
  • Respond to emergency service calls, as directed, to keep system downtime to a minimum.
  • Provide support to other fire alarm technicians.
  • Possess full understanding of ULC ire alarm codes in conjunction with addressable fire alarm systems, and provide full support to customers.
  • Complete all product-related training in Honeywell.
  • Able to travel for work.
  • Live/work at client camp sites during rotations “ON”.
