As an Intern - Strategic Sourcing Specialist here at Honeywell, you will gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing and procurement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will report directly to our Sr. Director Strat Sourcing, and you’ll work out of our Bucharest location on a Hybrid (3 days in the office + 2 days from home) work schedule.

You’ll work directly with seasoned professionals, supporting projects that drive global sourcing excellence and optimize supply chain performance across Honeywell

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and executing commodity strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on quality, cost, and supplier performance.
• Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
• Support the coordination of sourcing projects from end to end, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
• Work with stakeholders across the organization, including the Buying Operations Team, to facilitate supplier management and optimize procurement processes.
• Collaborate with the Category Strategy Team to support site and category productivity reviews and other value-generating initiatives.
• Support the digital procurement strategy, including initiatives involving AI tools and negotiation bots.
• Prepare status reports, KPIs, and communicate results to leadership, driving transparency and accountability.
• Assist in negotiations and help execute agreements with suppliers that align with the global sourcing strategy.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Procurement, Business, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel (Power BI, SAP or Tableau is a plus)
• Fluent English (B2 and above); Any other language skill is a plus
• Growth mindset and resilient personality
• Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and thrive in dynamic team environments, fostering a collaborative spirit
• Interest in learning about indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain optimization.
