Job Description
The HSE Manager will be the key point of contact across the HBS Norway HSE team. Supporting the national service contracts. The person will report directly to the UKN Regional (HSE) Leader and provide full support to the Country Leadership, in delivering the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), ensuring legal compliance, improving the behaviors & safety cultures across the business. You will be responsible for delivery and maintenance of a robust management system available to all HBS employees in Norway & be a key member of the Regional & European HSE team.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure Compliance to Honeywell corporate HSE requirements and legislation. Represent the HBS HSE Leadership team for Norway. Establish relationships and processes with business managers to influence employees to meet HSE goals and objectives.
- Work with peers to identify actions required to gain and maintain HSE Certifications to ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and assist those responsible for ISO 9001. Present HSE related training such as Safe Operations Management, behaviour observations, improving culture & Internal Auditor training
- Audit Honeywell field contracts & assist with any facility obligations to ensure the Company is compliant to Honeywell processes and statutory and corporate legislation. Complete injury / incident investigations as required
- Continuously improve the Management Operating System (MOS) to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the HSE programs. Lead the development & deployment of the 3-5 strategic plan (STRAP) & annual operating plan (AOP) for HSE performance across the Norway portfolio. Including use of tools such as the X-Matrix, A3 plans & lean principles.
- Assist in resolving potential non-compliance, enforcement actions or litigation regarding HSE matters. Deploy a robust governance & auditing program for Norway. Partner with business leaders and employees to continuously improve the HSE culture & awareness.
Key skills and qualifications
- Achieve or exceed the annual operating plan (AOP) – Incident reduction & elimination. Increase the HSE Maturity, observations, corrective action metrics & any other general KPI’s
- Ensure compliance to all HSE standards from leadership, employees, contractors and sub-contractors. Ensure an HSE continuous improvement culture is truly embedded within the business.
- A recognised & relevant local qualification in HSE. Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading HSE. Knowledgeable in HSE compliance, emerging regulations and trends.
- Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to quickly build client – customer relationships in a challenging and changing environment. Experience working with service, process, facilities maintenance or construction industries desired.
