Job Description
The Sr Security Professional, a critical member of Honeywell Global Security Compliance (GSC), ensures compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements for cleared industry. The selected candidate will serve as Sr. Security Professional for a cleared facility with safeguarding capability, and will interface with Honeywell, industry, and government representatives to clarify and interpret requirements and resolve security issues.
This position requires a security professional who must be able to operate independently, display excellent judgement and decision-making ability, and have a well-rounded understanding of industrial security and other security disciplines required to administer a compliant and effective security program.
You will report directly to our Sr Security Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a Hybrid work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as Sr Security Professional and COMSEC Account Manager, overseeing all aspects of facility, personnel, and information security.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for industrial, physical, operational, and personnel security, supporting compliance with national security requirements.
- Manage security operations across the contract lifecycle, including DD Form 254 processing, classified contracts, and security considerations from RFP to closeout.
- Oversee personnel security clearance processes, incident reporting, and coordination with government agencies.
- Deliver and track security training, briefings, and foreign travel compliance for cleared employees.
- Maintain internal and government security systems and databases (e.g., Honeywell Protect, NISS, DISS, DIAS).
- Lead self-inspections, support government audits, and implement corrective actions; oversee secure facility construction and access controls.
- Collaborate with Export Compliance on EAR/ITAR regulations and represent the organization in professional security forums such as NCMS.

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $106,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE
- 3 years’ experience as FSO or Assistant FSO.
- 3 years’ experience in a DOD or other industrial security program; or, related professional roles with security, compliance and/or data protection related scope and responsibility.
- Must be able to acquire and/or maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
WE VALUE
- Completion of CDSE Facility Security Officer (FSO) Course.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD security regulations and/or 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule.
- Educational background that includes a focus in security, compliance and/or criminal justice desired.
- Experience as COMSEC Manager or COMSEC Custodian.
- Completion of NSA COMSEC Manager Training Course (IAEC-2112).
- Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or other CDSE Professional Certification.
- DoD Security Manager’s Course.
- SCI/SAP knowledge and experience.
