Honeywell is seeking a Advanced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team delivering cutting-edge control system solutions across Australia.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact projects involving Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), with exposure to advanced technologies and customer-facing engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver Distributed Control System (DCS) migration projects using Honeywell Experion, TPS, and third-party platforms.
  • Design and implement control and safety system solutions across industrial sectors.
  • Develop and review Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Detailed Design Specifications (DDS).
  • Configure and commission systems including RTUs, PLCs, FSC, and Safety Manager.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to define scope and ensure successful project execution.
  • Support proposal development, estimation, and customer demonstrations.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety protocols, and Honeywell methodologies.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Engineering degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Chemical.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in control systems engineering, ideally in Oil & Gas, Mining, or Power.
  • Proven experience in DCS migration projects is essential.
  • Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of field instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, PFDs, and electrical drawings.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell platforms (Experion, TPS, FSC, Safety Manager) is a plus.
  • VMWare certification and hands-on experience configuring Cisco switches are highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
