Sr Finance Manager - Cash

As a Senior Finance Manager - Cash at Honeywell, in Bucharest, you will be responsible for cash flow management for Honeywell Building Automation. We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Finance Manager to lead and optimize our working capital management across the organization. This role is critical in driving cash flow efficiency, managing liquidity, and supporting business growth through effective oversight of receivables, payables, and inventory.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

• Working Capital Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize working capital, including cash conversion cycle improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional & region teams (Sales, Procurement, Operations, 6 regions) to align financial goals with business operations.
• Cash Flow Forecasting & Analysis
  • Lead short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting.
  • Monitor actual performance vs. forecast and provide actionable insights.
• Accounts Receivable & Payable Oversight
  • Drive improvements in AR PD & DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and DPO (Days Payable Outstanding).
  • Collaborate with credit and collections teams to manage customer payment terms and mitigate risk.
• Inventory Management
  • Work with supply chain and operations to optimize inventory levels and reduce working capital tied up in stock.
• Reporting & KPIs
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track working capital metrics.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Risk Management & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to liquidity and cash flow.

Key skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in working capital or cash flow management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
• Experience in a multinational or matrixed organization.
• Fluency in English.
