Job Description
The Sr Director of Sales, Life Science will lead the global commercial strategy for a life sciences organization, driving revenue growth across diverse markets. This executive will spearhead digital transformation in sales, integrate AI-driven insights, and foster a culture of excellence in manufacturing and quality. Operating within a matrixed organization, the Sr Director will collaborate across functions and geographies to deliver customer-centric solutions and sustainable growth.
In this role, you will impact the overall sales strategy and performance of the Life Sciences division, ensuring alignment with Honeywell's broader business objectives and enhancing our market presence.
This position will report directly to our VP of Sales for Honeywell Process Solutions and be dotted lined to VP/GM of Life Science. This role will work out of our Hamilton, New Jersey location and operate on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute a global sales strategy aligned with Life science objectives and market dynamics to achieve revenue targets within the Life Sciences market in a SaaS environment.
- Drive revenue growth across product lines and critical geo strategies.
- Lead forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Customer & Market Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, industry stakeholders, and channel partners.
- Identify emerging trends in life sciences, manufacturing, and quality to shape go-to-market approaches.
- Champion customer experience initiatives that integrate digital platforms and personalized engagement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Operate effectively in a matrixed environment, partnering with Life science, R&D, regulatory, and marketing teams.
- Align sales efforts with product development cycles and global supply chain capabilities.
- Influence internal stakeholders by prioritizing customer needs and market opportunities.
- Digital & AI Enablement
- Lead the adoption of AI-powered sales enablement platforms, and predictive analytics.
- Promote digital fluency across the sales organization to enhance productivity and decision-making.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to optimize sales operations and customer insights.
- Global Mindset & Talent Development
- Build and lead a diverse, high-performing global sales team with a focus on inclusion and cultural agility.
- Mentor regional sales leaders and foster leadership development across geographies.
- Navigate complex international markets, adapting strategies to local regulatory and commercial landscapes
Qualifications
You Must Have:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in sales, with a focus on Life Sciences
- 5+ years of experience managing a global sales team
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive revenue strategies aligned with corporate goals, including forecasting, pipeline management, and long-range planning
- Proven ability to lead and scale sales initiatives in a SaaS environment, including go-to-market strategy and customer lifecycle management
- Proven track record of sales leadership in the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing operations in life sciences, from process development to commercial scale-up
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GMP, ISO), with insight into how they shape commercial strategy and customer engagement
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally and engage with global teams and customers

- Understanding of products like: QMS, MES, DCS, SCADA and Building Automation
