Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions. Your strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies will ensure that the products developed under your leadership meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a onsite work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the development of innovative mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards while enhancing the overall performance and functionality of our products. You will be apart of the Global Repair & Overhaul Engineering team supporting the Tempe aftermarket repair center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead and drive the repair development process, from concept to production.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications.
· Design and develop complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
· Support production improvements in both Turn-Around-Time and cost savings.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
· 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
· Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.
· Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools, with experience in mechanical analysis and simulation tools.
· Experience with product testing and validation processes.
WE VALUE
· Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· Experience in aerospace or related industries.
· Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
· Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
· Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
