Job Description
Advanced Embedded Engineer
Understand the HRS requirements/HW/SW/JTAG design implementation and define the test scenarios
- Should be able to define/design test requirements for a Unit Under Test.
- Design test hardware/software as per test requirements.
- Capable to review the hardware design, layout and provide probable failure scenarios.
- Assist test development with diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution of production issues.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and 100% technical ownership/accountability of PBA test functional area.
- Active involvement in Domain’s strategic initiatives to achieve business goals.
- Position also requires working on multiple projects/programs concurrently in a fast paced environment.
- Primary customer interface for all projects and relevant production issues.
- Define statement of work, drive estimates, risk handling and technical decision making.
- Expected to mentor budding engineers, drive innovations and write technical white papers or approach papers as deemed fit.
- Keep track of the technology trend for the work areas.
- Develops ways to improve test methodology and processes within the work group.
- Drive & deploy standardization of test solutions, and User Experience (Human Factor) initiatives in Test Solutions.
- Independently participate in the customer telecons and responding production/engineering queries without delays.
- Develop required infrastructure, opportunity and required skills to support Unit/PBA Level Functional Test team’s End state commitment.
- Should have 5-8 yrs of relevant work experience.
- Should hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic ,Instrumentation, Emebedded Engineering or an appropriate discipline and have expertise and experience in test engineering.
- Experience in ATEs (Automated Test Equipment) and Interface Test Adapter/Cable harness design; includes mechanical and electrical.
- Proven practical experience in functional testing, analysis/troubleshooting of test equipments & test software.
- Integration experience in ATE Systems
- Hands on experience in test hardware design, minimum 3-4 Projects.
- Capable of Analog and Digital hardware design.
- Good knowledge of Instruments and their usage (Measuring & Sourcing instruments)
- Proficient in Embedded C, Matlab Simulink, Python API development
- Proficient in Microcontroller HW/SW Design
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of DAQ modules Programming
- Experience in JTAG and BSD Programming
- Knowledge in Digital Twin Design will be an added advantage.
- Six sigma certified.
