Advanced Manufacturing Engineer I

Job Description

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will drive advanced manufacturing strategies, optimize processes, and implement cutting-edge technologies to achieve operational excellence and innovation. You will report directly to our Advanced Mfg Engineer Manager, and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON, location on an on-site work schedule.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are producible and meet yield and cost targets
  • Determine manufacturing processes, procure and set up equipment, develop work instructions
  • Support production teams with identification/resolution of manufacturing issues
  • Perform/Lead Root Cause Corrective Analysis and drive corrective actions to closure
  • Oversee all aspects of capital projects including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization.

  • Experience in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Experience in the use of Lean tools
  • Basic knowledge of dip brazing processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Basic knowledge of industry standards and specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
