Job Description

As a Senior Advanced Test Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading and managing advanced test engineering activities to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. You will develop and implement innovative test strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Richmond, VA location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the success of our engineering teams by ensuring that all test engineering projects are executed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall quality and performance of our products.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Control Systems Expertise
    • Proficient in programming, applying, installing, and troubleshooting control systems, including 10 years of experience with Niagara Framework based products. Experience building graphical user interfaces with Niagara.
  2. Digital Communication Protocols
    • Experience programming, diagnosing, and integrating multiple digital communications protocols, including BACnet MS/TP, BACnet IP, LonWorks, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and SNMP, RS485 protocols
  3. Testing and Verification Skills
    • Competence in testing and verifying instrumentation and control devices using tools such as thermometers, psychrometers, pressure gauges, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  4. Electrical and Electronic Troubleshooting
    • Experience in diagnosing and repairing various electrical and electronic issues related to building controllers, DDC controllers, PLCs, transmitters, transducers, sensors, transformers, relays, 24V AC and DC power supplies.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Niagara Framework.
  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques to evaluate test results and drive improvements.
