Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Senior Product Management Specialist to join our Honeywell team in Prague.
As a Sr Product Management Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our product portfolio within the Building Automation sector. You will be responsible for developing and implementing product strategies that align with market needs and business objectives, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and innovative.
You will report directly to our Director of Portfolio Management and you’ll work out of our Prague location on a Hybrid work schedule. This role requires about 60% of travel across Europe.
In this role, you will impact the overall product lifecycle, from concept through development to launch, ensuring that our solutions meet customer expectations and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
- Drive the strategy, development, and management of our Building Automation Building Management Systems (BA BMS) product portfolio.
- Accountable for collecting insight/ customer needs, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the enjoyment, comfort, and energy efficiency of buildings.
- Impact the success of our BA BMS product portfolio by driving product strategy, conducting market research, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.
- Develop and execute the product strategy for the BA BMS product portfolio, aligned with market trends and customer needs.
- Conduct market research, thoughtfulness, and customer segmentation to identify new product opportunities.
- Define product requirements, features, and specifications based on market needs and customer feedback.
- Work with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, marketing, sales) to ensure timely development, launch, and ongoing facilitation of products.
- Monitor product performance, analyze metrics, and implement strategies to optimize product profitability and market performance.
Qualifications
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- 3+ years of experience in product management or related roles, ideally with a focus on building automation systems.
- 3+ years of experience with the following driving product strategy, conducting market research and market analysis, experience with product development processes and delivering successful products
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to inform product strategy
- Product Management Skills, including proven ability to develop product roadmaps, define technical requirements, and manage product lifecycles
- Strong understanding of control systems, automation technologies, and related engineering principles. Familiarity with industrial applications, embedded systems, or automation platforms.
- Understanding of industry standards, compliance requirements, and safety regulations relevant to automation and controls
- Experience in data-driven decision-making and business case development
- Experience with Agile methodologies, familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, PLM systems, or equivalent
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and product analytics tools
- Valid driver’s license
- English on C1 level, second language is an advantage
