As an IT Manager - Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You'll lead a team of quality assurance professionals and drive excellence through innovative quality assurance strategies. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will set and measure quality standards, enhance efficiency, and mentor your team. Your influence will champion data-driven decision-making, foster a culture of quality, and ensure adaptability in a dynamic environment. By setting industry standards and continuously improving processes, you'll contribute significantly to our commitment to delivering exceptional software solutions at Advanced Materials.

You will report directly to our IT Director and you’ll work out of our Bangalore, India location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the quality and reliability of our software products, ensuring they meet the highest standards. You will lead and collaborate with a team of skilled quality assurance professionals to drive a culture of quality, automation, and continuous improvement. Your expertise will make a significant impact on our processes, testing strategies, and the overall quality of our software products.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and maintain the QA and LIMS systems to ensure they meet the needs of the organization and comply with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, IT, and customer service to support the development and implementation of QA and LIMS processes.
• Lead the integration of QA and LIMS systems with other enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the functionality and user experience of QA and LIMS systems.
  Provide technical support and training to users of QA and LIMS systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Ensure data integrity and security within QA and LIMS systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in QA and LIMS technologies.
• Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies, plans, and processes.
• Set and measure quality standards and best practices to ensure the reliability of our software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and metrics.
• Drive test automation initiatives and increase test coverage through automation.
• Monitor and manage the test tracking process, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Analyze defect trends to improve software quality and identify areas for process improvement.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and enhance testing processes.
• Implement and measure key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of testing efforts.
• Generate and communicate test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and quality processes.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance
• Strong experience in software testing, test planning, test case design, and test execution.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
• Proven leadership in leading, managing, and mentoring quality assurance teams, fostering a culture of improvement.
• Proficient in scripting and programming, often using Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for defect resolution and process optimization.
• Effective communication for sharing test results with cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Project management experience, ideally within Agile or Scrum environments.
• Relevant certifications like ISTQB or industry-specific QA qualifications.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with QA trends.
• Collaborative skills for effective teamwork with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
