Sr HSE Dangerous Goods Analyst

In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
As an HSE Dangerous Goods Analyst in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe transportation of dangerous goods within our organization. You will be responsible for regional dangerous goods transportation governance, developing safety procedures, providing education and advice to employees to minimize the potential hazards associated with dangerous goods, and assisting with risk assessments. Your expertise in regulatory compliance and best practices will contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and protecting the well-being of our employees and the environment. You will report directly to our HSE Manager [MH1] and you'll work out of our Shanghai location on a hybrid work schedule[MH2] . In this role, you will impact our business by implementing effective safety measures and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, thereby minimizing the risk of incidents and maintaining a safe working environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide dangerous goods transportation governance for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region
• Collaborate with dangerous goods transportation colleagues to develop policies and practices across the entire organization.
• Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and education to employees on the safe transportation of dangerous goods.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures and make recommendations for improvements.
• Assist in risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with the transportation of dangerous goods
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
• Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in dangerous goods transportation
• In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
